5X5

TV Shows

Sherlock: An amazing modern adaptation of the 18th century books by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle on the BBC staring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. Thrill and suspense fill the show that's full of twists you can't even imagine.

Great British Bakeoff: A typically British show that shouldn't be as good as it. Despite how slightly naff it sounds this show has gripped the nation with viewers of all ages.

Casualty-A medical drama that has characters so loveable that after being forced to watch it with family "you'll love it I promise" 6 years later its still being watched. The characters are what makes this programme, I don't think anyone watches it for the medical part, the suspense on if Grace will live is far more heart-tugging.

Death In Paradise-A typical bumbling Inspector from Britain sent to the Caribbean island to solve the shocking amount of murders that happen. This programme works and is a favourite as the crimes bemuse and are genuinely impossible (well for me at least) to solve and again there is nothing you can't love about Humphrey (with a name like that you just can't not like him).

Our Girl-A series that follows the turbulent life of female medic that gets called to Afghanistan and ends up bringing her personal life along causing matters of the heart to get tangled together. This show also shows insight into the ever tough life of being in the Army and fighting for your life.

Albums (Male)

21 Pilots, Blurryface: 21 Pilots new album second album somehow manages to top their first Vessel. Tyler and Joseph combine their unique talents perfectly yet again to create songs with amazing lyrics and beats. They don't really have a genre, they play instruments, they rap, they sing, they write all their song their self, they are indie pop and electropop and rock all at the same time and this completely unique sound somehow just works so well and sounds so good.

One Direction, Made In A.M.: Those that judge One Direction without listening to this album and then make a judgement need to. Easily their best album this shows that they can perform songs that aren't just cheesy pop (shock horror). Sure it is the pop genre but the songs go further than that and don't all sound the same. They have grown and this album really shows this.

The Vamps,Wake Up: This is just simply a feel good album with beats so catchy you'll never get them out of your head.

5SOS,Sounds Good Feel Good: Like all other 5SOS albums these song was written and played by the band their self. This album has some real lyrics that you can tell mean something to the band member who clearly worked really hard and passionately to write them. Performed live you can see how much the songs and lyrics mean.

The Script,No Sound Without Silence: The latest album by The Script is just as good as their others. With a mixture of catchy songs and heartfelt love songs with lyrics that pull at the heartstrings all carefully crafted together with the musical talents of each band member this album may be their best yet.

Films

Avengers: An all American film where 6 of the greatest heroes come together to defeat the evil brother who wants to take over the world and also happens to have an English accent. Star-studded cast, amazing effects and a undertone of humour is what makes this film one you can watch over and over.

Harry Potter&The Prisoner Of Azkban: All the Harry Potter films could be on my list (however the books are still and always will be better) but this one is my stand out favourite as its my favourite book for the plot and the introduction of new characters. There is also a mystical creature called Buckbeak.

Paper Towns: Another adaption of a book turned into a film, this stunning novel by John Green has been turned into an equally as good film. Covering teenage life and the search for the girl you love this film may seem cheesy but is really a truly twisting story with the perfect actors to play the perfect roles. John Green fans will also enjoy the cameos and choice of actors.

Now You See Me 2: This film is one of kind, about magicians trying to right the world. Funny, twisting, engaging this film keep you hooked and the magic tricks keep you amazed.

Pirates Of The Caribbean-The Curse Of The Black Pearl: The first Pirates movie perfectly sets the rest of the series off on its twisting, turning and sailing the high seas adventure. Unique, first class characters bring this film together.

Most Recent Songs

Closer by the Chainsmokers: Featuring Halsey this song is simply good. Lyrics that work and a beat that will get anyone moving, even slightly.

Heathens by 21 Pilots: This song was made of the film Suicide Squad and is another of one of 21 Pilots greats. Suiting the film perfectly this song can stand by itself too.

Good Grief by Bastille: Bastille have recently made a bit of a comeback with new songs being released from their new album which is not yet out and a tour organised and there is nothing better. A slightly new sound from them but still equally as unique and impressive as before.

Work From Home by Fifth Harmony: A typically catchy song that is very poppy but still good, one that will get stuck in your head but really you won't mind.

Mamma Said by Lukas Graham: Not their most famous song but easily their best. Lyrics that mean something and aren't just typical this song was put together perfectly.

Artists (Female)

Taylor Swift: Taylor Swift with her loves songs that hit have dominated the charts since "Lovestory" first came out. Pick any album and there will be a song you like if not all of them, Taylor may be cheesy but they are still very good songs.

Fleetwood Mac: A slighty older band with  Stevie Nicks has a great album Rumors that after being always played in the car has become a firm favourite.

Halsey: There is nothing Halsey can't do perfectly from dying her hair another colour to creating song after song.

Adele: Back after her break Adele is still as flawless as ever and carries on to amaze with her stunning voice.

Birdy: A soulful voice that reaches the high notes with ease and perfection.
